My brother has a '92 \Accord, 2.2 non-VTEC, 4-door. He wants to put a 1st-gen DSM turbo in it. He's 18, he's dumb (no offense to Honda guys at or under 18), and I don't want him to blow the thing up. Has anyone done this before? Will he have to run premium gas? He'll need a new clutch, right? What about the diff? I don't know FF tuning, so any help would be appreciated.
PS-somebody tell him his crappy rear wing doesn't help AN FF!!!
Thanks much

Done right a turbo cant harm the car.  Basing myself on the limited Honda knowledge I have, there shouldnt be a problem as long as it fits, its properly connected and tuned and he doesnt TRY to blow it up

Lemme get this right.. he wants to put on a turbo, or he wants to do a 4G63 swap? Adding a turbo to the car will definitely increase his performance, but he'll need to do it right. That involoves much more than just bolting on a turbo and expecting big power from it.

As for your question about fuel, I'd suggest premium with as high an octane rating as possible. In most cars, running premium fuel won't make much difference unless you've made substantial mods; however, in a forced induction car, it will make a noticeable difference in power.
Speed and power are a mix of mostly three factors: money, motivation, and time. How fast do you want to go and how broke do you want to be when you get there?
