During my free time, I looked online for cheap sports cars. hope you guys have fun with this, just tryin to help in case you're looking for a new car. At first I was only searching RWD cars, then I decided there's nothing wrong with FWD. all these cars' mileage is under 100,000, and all except the MR2 are 5 speeds. (the MR2 is an exception because its a mid engined turbocharged RWD vehicle) Also each car is stock except the civic. I had to include a civic, and the modified one was the nicest under 3 large.
1986 300ZX, stock manual $1995 76,000 mileage http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...mp;cardist=2071
1987 MR2 Turbo, stock automatic $1795 98,000 mileage http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...mp;cardist=1712
1990 Mazda Miata, stock, manual $2800 98,000 mileage http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...amp;cardist=317
1993 Mitsubishi eclipse, stock, manual $1900 55,000 mileage http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...mp;cardist=2431
1992 Honda civic SI, Modified, manual $3000 71,000 mileage http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...mp;cardist=1723
1999 dodge neon R/T, stock, manual $2750 88,000 mileage http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...mp;cardist=2150
feel free to add to the list.

The MR2 is not a turbo. What "T Bar" stands for is the roof structure, or T Tops. They didn't make the turbo MR2 until the second generation car.
Speed and power are a mix of mostly three factors: money, motivation, and time. How fast do you want to go and how broke do you want to be when you get there?

How did you end up with cars with such low mileage? Good luck finding these cars with less than 110k near me. I envy you.

I would consider the "simple" cars in that price range.. the MR2 and Miata..

ahhhh, jeez, you owned one!? Could you somehow get it back and sell it to me? Well anyway, T-bar is just another saying for T-tops. The car was SUPERcharged until the second gen. THEN it was turbocharged.

I owned a 94 MR2 Turbo, that's why i'm bashful about not knowing the meaning of "T-Bar". anyway, the MR2 was tons o' fun to drive, pkus i minimized the weight about as much as possible (some carbon fiber body panels, styrofoam noise deadening material, no A/C, no radio, sparco seats etc.) without ever really modifying anything under the hood. I also had Eibach suspension and a fabricated exhaust. anyway, i loved that car, and sometimes I wish I hadn't sold it, but my celica's at least a little more practical.

You could branch out into european cars like E30s and olders VWs. By the way, that last RX-7 was freaking sweet!
