Ultimate street car? Just might be.

Guys, I found this Top Gear video of whats probably the COOLEST street car ever.
It has a higher power to weight ratio than an Enzo and accelerates quicker than a sports bike for around $35,000 I believe.  Civicking, I believe you'll enjoy the engine choice as well.

If they mass-produced them, I'd hit it.  Though I wonder how much use the muffler is, but hey.  

yeah i knew about the atom for a while its nothing new, personally i would have used turbo on this one because the car is so light that you will never notice the lag, if there is any. but truly i would have used a turbo/supercharger combo. check it out http://www.arielatom.com/ariel/site.php
did you see the torque kick on when he accelerated heavily that's the supercharger, i think it would easily do 0-60 in under 2.5seconds if i had a little time with it, hehehehe  

Wow that site is really cool.  I noticed something though.  THey have an optional Ecotec engine.  Im not saying that the Ecotec is bad or anything (i think its an eccpetional engine) but why have it?  From what it looks like the Honda engine beats in every way.

Yeah it does need an exhaust.  Its actually a srteet car so it needs to pass emissions.  Plus it needs the back pressure.

Hehe the thought of turbocharging it is getting me all gittery.  It would be like a....super go-cart that can tear apart most vehicles.  

I looked through that site some more and I just got what you said Cking, it comes wiht an optional supercharger....man those guys are like the closest thing to Santa Clause.  The atom and a pet penguin would be the first things I'd get if I won the Lotto.  

the Honda engine they use is the Type R... which is a no no in the US.. so when it comes to this side of the pond.. we get the ecotech.  

if they let me i would buy it without the engine, and drop in a k-series Frankenstein with a supercharger. now that would make a killer ride.

if it came over as a kit car it would pass just fine, why would it not be allowed because it was never sold here to it would have to go through tons of testing, that's just how the government works. i mean with new cars they put them in a special room, first they heat the room to like 130 and measure to see if any gasoline fumes are escaping and how much, then they drop the temp to like -20 and measure it again, they keep doing that to make sure that the emission system are working properly, that just on of the tests they do on a car, there are a lot of other ones too.

yeah, Youtube is great an all, but now the recording people are now bitching about the videos that are available to view there (you can't even download them)...I guess they want to charge people to watch TV shows that you could watch for free on TV money-grubbing bastads
