SCC Dead?

I have read every SCC for about 8 years, the absolute first I ever heard of SCC going under was in the APRIL issue of Modified mag. Either for the last few issues I have completely missed it or it's an April Fools joke.

If it is true, I am canceling my subscription to Modified mag because other than Super Street it is one of the worst car magazines available. The last issue I could barely read because I prefer to go fast and handle over everything else.  

It's true, and not an April Fool's joke.  

I feel as if I'm going to be physically ill. SCC was my only beacon of light in my automotive life. I live in the south, in a town the size of a stamp, were "if it aint a camaro it aint fast". This mag was the only place a REAL gear head who wasn't into domestic v8s (they do really exsist I promise not all muscle car guys are cavemen) could get any kind of legitimate info. The rest of the mags, (ss, modified, ricer weekly), only feed into the sterotype that all we do is sit around and touch ourselves looking through body kit ads. I drive around with a SCC in my car to show anyone who will listen that we're not a bunch of self absorbed, brainless, non-driving clowns just because we own a small car and it's modified. We have always been automotive outcasts in a world that doesn't get why I own a 19 year old probe with a turbo off a rx-7 on it. WHY.... because i can and it's fast and a blast to drive. So what if it looks like *** Just means i don't feel bad when i got to touch up the paint with a little krylon ,flat black of course, or when i took a hammer to my hood to get it to clear my wastegate. Long live the SCC way of life.
