I've always been into modifying cars to a sensible amount of HP while still keeping streetability. But the discouraging part for me is... it's all 4 cylinders? And I mean that isn't terrible, I have seen some nice 4 cylinders, but all this talk of cold air intakes and exhaust seems horribly basic to me. It all seems very bolt on, and I REALLY wanted this magazine to be a good buy. Somebody please tell me that these impressions are WRONG.

Really nothing? and from reading on these forums I've deducted most people's whole education on automotive modification is from the fast and the furious.

Hey Rotary,
Without realizing it, I ended up buying the Feb '11 issue at a my local Rite-Aid and am very impressed by the article on the LS-2/V8 engine swaps in a 350Z and a S2K in this issue. I'm a little biased on this and glad that they do work towards the 4 cylinder vehicles as I am just joining the mod world and looking to upgrade my 4 cylinder '06 Eclipse GS. This issue has really got me thinking of doing an engine swap. Hope this helps you to not feel so discouraged.

I like to read reviews of stuff before I buy it. Just a thought.
